Support

Start with the facts that can reproduce the issue.

This support center covers Mac App Store purchase and restore, optional account linking, local project files, and the information that helps us investigate a problem safely.

Before contacting support

Record your KMind Zen version, macOS version, reproducible steps, the exact error message, and when the issue occurred. Redact email addresses, full transaction identifiers, and other personal information from screenshots.

Never email a password, Apple Account credential, full App Store receipt, private key, or API key. We will not ask you for those items.

Mac App Store purchase and restore

In KMind Zen, open Settings and choose Account and purchases. You can view the in-app purchase price shown by Apple, buy lifetime access to KMind Zen Standalone Pro, or select Restore purchases. Apple’s App Store services handle purchasing and restoration; activation on the purchasing Mac does not require a KMind account.

KMind Zen Standalone Pro covers eligible standalone desktop and mobile apps; it does not include the SiYuan or Obsidian plugins. To use the entitlement on mobile or manage seats, link the purchase to the same KMind account.

If an eligible purchase does not activate, select Restore purchases first and reopen Settings. If it still does not restore, send the app version, time of the attempt, and only the last eight characters of the transaction identifier. Do not send the complete identifier or receipt.

Local files and data safety

The desktop app accesses project files you choose in macOS Open or Save panels, open from Finder or another system handoff, or ask KMind to reopen from its authorized recent-project list. Project content stays on your Mac by default and is not uploaded when you buy, restore, or link an account.

Keep your own backup of important projects. If a file will not open, preserve the original and tell us its format, import source, and the exact error before attempting repeated overwrites.

Optional account and entitlement linking

A KMind account is optional. It can restore an existing account entitlement or link a completed App Store purchase to your account. Device-code sign-in finishes in your default browser; core editing and App Store purchasing do not depend on an account.

If a device code expires, start the connection again in the desktop app. Do not share device codes, access tokens, or sign-in credentials.

Contact us

Email kmind_app@outlook.com. Include the product surface, app version, system version, reproduction steps, exact error, and only the redacted screenshots needed to explain the issue.

For purchase issues, say whether the problem concerns buying, restoring, or account linking. For file issues, preserve the original file and avoid repeatedly saving over the only copy.

FAQ
Do I need an account to buy KMind Zen Standalone Pro?

An account is not required to activate the purchase on the Mac where it was made. Link the purchase to the same KMind account to use it on mobile, manage seats, or restore access across devices.

What if a successful purchase does not unlock?

Choose Restore purchases in Settings → Account and purchases. If that does not resolve it, contact support with the app version, time, and last eight characters of the transaction identifier.
